Alaska Air Cargo Suspends cargo service into Dutch Harbor / Unalaska.

Interline options now available. Effective November 1, 2017, Alaska Air Cargo will no longer offer cargo services into Dutch Harbor (DUT) on flights operated by PenAir. Passenger service is unaffected. To help provide cargo services into Dutch Harbor, we will be partnering with ACE Alaska through an interline agreement. ACE currently serves Dutch Harbor on their Saab B1900 freighters six days a week. Beginning November 1, 2017, customers may book cargo to Dutch Harbor on one air waybill with Alaska Air Cargo, however, the shipment’s first leg must originate on an Alaska Airlines flight. We understand this is an inconvenience and worked hard to find solutions that allow us to serve this market going forward.

New freighters on approach.

Our new freighters will make us the only passenger airline in the US with dedicated cargo planes. We fly to more than 100 destinations in North and Central America - the most extensive air cargo operation of any passenger airline on the West Coast of the US.
